From the hotel to the downhill trail
Hotel DAS ZWÖLFERHAUS: right next to the Zwölferkogel cable car
Very close to the top on your mountain holiday: the Hotel DAS ZWÖLFERHAUS is situated in the middle of the Saalbach-Hinterglemm hiking area. Just a few steps away from the hotel you get on the Zwölferkogel cable car, the start to your many great mountain adventures.
By cable car up to the Bike-Circus
Even the name Bike-Circus Saalbach-Hinterglemm pricks up mountain biking freaks' ears. The vast network of 400 km of bike routes including downhill trails for all levels is unquestionably the hot spot for both the national and international scene.
The whole thing is just the little bit better too when you hit the downhill trail right next to your accommodation on holiday. The Hotel DAS ZWÖLFERHAUS is situated next to one of Saalbach and Hinterglemm's cable cars, which not only takes you up to lofty heights for skiing in the winter but also helps get you to the top throughout the summer, including the transport of your bike.
Up to the peak
Don't forget your Joker Card and enjoy the free trip with the Zwölferkogel cable car and three other cable cars in the Saalbach and Hinterglemm holiday resorts. Once you've arrived at the top of the Zwölferkogel a mountain panorama opens up that will take your breath away. Your view extends across the Upper Tauern and Leogang Mountains while the expanse of the Glemm Valley spreads out at your feet.
The Z-Line on the Zwölferkogel
One of Saalbach-Hinterglemm's many freeriding and downhill trails nestles along the slopes of the Zwölferkogel: the Z-Line opened in 2013. This offers the perfect challenge for hardened freeriders but is also suitable for not quite as experienced bike artistes. The reason: all the obstacles can be conveniently ridden around. You have the choice whether you choose the easy version or whether you take on the difficult route with its steep bends, jumps, wall rides, tables and North shore elements by BMX or mountain bike.
Family fun up the mountain
However, it's not just bike freaks who get their money's worth up the Zwölferkogel. Not far from the top station hikers will find the start to the homeland circular route that allows you to hike through the holiday region's history. Families are drawn to Montelino's playground at the top where young motion artists can conquer various climbing frames. There's the most beautiful panorama from the raised hide as a highlight. After the climbing course children can prove their skill on one of the slacklines.
Please note that DAS ZWÖLFERHAUS will be closed in summer 2019 due to extensive renovation work. We, the team at the Hotel DAS ZWÖLFERHAUS, look forward to receiving your non-binding enquiry!
